La Nyalla Invites Prabowo To Amendment The 1945 Constitution To The Original Script, Gerindra: Please Propose At The Official Forum
JAKARTA - Gerindra Party Deputy Habiburokhman responded to the invitation to the elected president Prabowo Subianto to return the amendment to the 1945 Constitution to the original manuscript. The invitation came from the Chairman of the DPD La Nyalla Mattalitti.
Habiburokhman suggested that proposals related to amendments to the Constitution be submitted to the official forum.
"Please just propose, in the official forum, with the right mechanism," Habiburokhman told reporters, Monday, June 24.
The Deputy Chairman of Commission III of the DPR believes that Prabowo will listen to proposals made by leaders and the public.
"We are sure that Pak Prabowo is ready to hear suggestions from the public and discuss this matter," said Habiburokhman.
The Jakarta electoral district legislator admits that there are many aspirations from the public regarding the amendments to the 1945 Constitution. However, Habiburokhman reminded that no party should impose a will to change the Constitution for personal and group interests.
"What needs to be noted is that the aspirations of the people are quite diverse. Some want to return to the 1945 Constitution, some want to stay as it is today, some combine the two, some parts return to the original 1945 Constitution, some parts are maintained," said Habiburokhman.
