PT PPA Ready To Accept Waskita Karya As A New Patient But Needs Capital From The Government

JAKARTA - President Director of PT Perusahaan Pengelola Asset (Pesero) or PPA, Teguh Wirahadikusumah revealed that his party is ready to handle new patients. One of them is PT Waskita Karya (Persero) Tbk.

However, Teguh said that in dealing with these new patients, it is also necessary to be accompanied by support from the state in the form of capital injections.

"If for example there is a question, is this PPA given by Waskita able or not? Back again, it's just competence, but the matching capacity too," he said in a hearing (RDP) with the BUMN Restructuring and Restructuring Committee, at the DPR Building, Parliament Complex, Monday, June 24.

Teguh said that his party's competence could still handle it. However, related to funding, he continued, there needs to be talks with capital owners, in this case the Ministry of SOEs and Danareksa.

"We may be able to investigate more about the competition, but if the capacity of funding feels like it's something that must be discussed in advance with shareholders, both andareksa and the government," he said.

Furthermore, Teguh explained that his party, in treating SOEs sick, must firmly decide whether the patient must be healthy or disbanded.

"That feels like it needs to be firm too, or indeed we can be healthy, we will turn it on, how much does it require? Now that is indeed something that must be discussed between PPA, Danareksa and the government," he explained.

Meanwhile, the President Director of PT Danareksa Yadi Jaya Ruchandi explained that PPA could indeed increase the capacity of new BUMN patients. However, he said, PPA needs to be supported by strengthening capital so that it can undergo assignments.

"Of course, there must be strengthening business capital and strengthening financial optimization. It really needs to be supported to be able to carry out the mandate. Danareksa's position is to ensure that PPA's capacity and finances exist," said Yadi.
