Still Affected By PDN Disorders, Semarang Immigration Temporarily Stops Passport Acceleration Services

SEMARANG - The Semarang Immigration Office in Central Java (Central Java) has temporarily suspended services for accelerating passport making following disruptions to the national data center (PDN) at the Ministry of Communication and Information (Kominfo).

"The immediate acceleration service has been temporarily suspended since the disruption on Thursday (June 20)," said Head of the Semarang Immigration Office Guntur Hamonangan in Semarang, Monday, June 24, confiscated by Antara.

Instead, he continued, people who will apply for passports can take advantage of registration through M-Passport.

During the system disruption at the national data center, he continued, the passport-making service was still opened in accordance with the queue number obtained by the applicant.

"Submission of conditions, including biometrics, can still be done," he said.

However, according to him, Immigration cannot confirm when the passport book will be printed and taken.

"The problem was taken, because the system from the center was still constrained for the process after Immigration," he said.

He said the Semarang Immigration Office served an average of 400 passport applicants, including service units in Grobogan Regency.

Therefore, he asked the applicant waiting for the passport to be taken according to the specified schedule after the payment to be patient until the system recovered.
