Erick Thohir Targets MotoGP Event Money Turnover And ARRC Reaches IDR 4 Trillion
JAKARTA - Minister of State-Owned Enterprises (BUMN) Erick Thohir said the target of rotating money for the international MotoGP and Asia Road Racing Championship (ARRC) motorcycle racing events in Mandalika reached IDR 4 trillion.

Central Lombok, NTB will again host the Pertamina Grand Prix of Indonesian-MotoGP 2024, the third time on September 27 to 28, 2024, and the Asia Road Racing Championship (ARRC) on July 26 to 28, 2024 for the second time.
"For the target of IDR 4 trillion," said Erick Thohir at the Media Briefing Asia Road Racing Championship (ARRC) 2024 & Pertamina Grand Prix of Indonesia-IndonesianGP (MotoGP 2024), at Danareksa Tower, Jakarta, Friday, June 21.
Meanwhile, ITDC President Director Ari Respati said the target of money circulation in the regions from the two international motorcycle racing events reached Rp600 billion.
From this year, we hope that there will be a turnover of money the same as the first year. So approximately a total of IDR 4 trillion throughout Indonesia can rotate, and almost IDR 600 billion in circulation in the regions. That's our hope and much better than last year, that's what our target is," he said.

"We hope that this year's Pertamina Grand Prix of Indonesian-MotoGP, the number of viewers exceeds last year and the side event which will begin with tree planting activities, which are carried out with racers for green tourism sustainability," he explained.
For your information, in 2023, the MotoGP event has provided a large multiplier effect for the surrounding community. The circulation of money from the event amounted to Rp914 billion and employment as many as 2,136 people, with revenues increasing to 50.5 percent and attracting more than 100,000 spectators.
