Bobby Claims To Be In The Pocket Of 18 Candidates For Companion For The 2024 North Sumatra Gubernatorial Election

Medan Mayor Bobby Nasution revealed that at least 18 names were included in the criteria for his companion to run in the 2024 North Sumatra Governor and Deputy Governor Election (Pilgub). He said the 18 names had been discussed with coalition parties.

"Apart from me, the coalition parties also determine whose criteria and personalities. Of course there are names, 18 names have been entered whose criteria have agreed to build North Sumatra together and can collaborate," Bobby said after handing over cash social assistance for people with disabilities and elderly citizens at the State Islamic University. Of the 18 names revealed by Bobby, there were also those from outside the party that met the criteria. However, Bobby was still reluctant to reveal the names.

"From outside the party there are also criteria, our figures in North Sumatra, potential regional heads, who work well," he added.

Previously, a name appeared who was included in Bobby Nasution's companion candidate, namely the Regent of Serdang Bedagai, Darma Wijaya alias Wiwik. Apart from Darma Wijaya, there are a number of other candidates and are still being discussed by a number of coalition parties.

President Joko Widodo's son-in-law said he would soon announce his companion in the North Sumatra Pilgub.
