Former Director Of BUMN Hutama Karya Becomes Suspect Of Alleged Corruption Of The Trans Sumatra Toll Road

The Corruption Eradication Commission (KPK) has named the former President Director of BUMN Hutama Karya, Bintang Perbowo, as a suspect in alleged corruption related to land acquisition around the Trans Sumatra Toll Road.

This was revealed when KPK spokesman Tessa Mahardika announced the confiscation of assets belonging to the suspect in this case. Bintang was appointed with the former Head of the Hutama Karya Business and Investment Development Division, Mohammad Rizal Sutjipto, and the President Commissioner of PT Sanitindo Tangsel Jaya, Iskandar Zulkarnaen.

"That in investigating this case, the KPK has named three people as suspects, namely BP, MRS, and IZ," said Tessa in a written statement, Thursday, June 20.

The three have been prevented from leaving the country for six months in this case. This effort was made to facilitate the investigation process.

However, the KPK has not officially announced the status of the three. Usually this step is carried out in conjunction with the forced detention attempt.

Previously reported, the KPK is investigating allegations of corruption related to land acquisition around the Trans Sumatra Toll Road. Three suspects have been named for causing the state to lose up to tens of billions of rupiah.

However, this figure can still increase because the calculation of state losses is still being carried out by related institutions.
