Queen's Music Catalog Will Be Acquired By Sony Music, Touches Transaction Rate 20 Trillion

JAKARTA - Queen reportedly just signed an agreement regarding the acquisition of their music catalog for Sony Music. A figure worth 1 billion pounds, or about 20 trillion rupiah, is said to be the transaction value.

The report was confirmed by Variety from a trusted source. Reportedly there are two major music companies interested in buying it. Early last June Sony reportedly made an offer worth 16 trillion, but that figure then increased.

In the end, the catalog fell to Sony Music. Almost the entire music catalog by Brian May et al will be submitted to the label.

The exceptions that are not included in them are patents related to Queen's live performance. As is known, currently Brian and Roger are still actively performing gigs performing hits with Adam Lambert as vocalist.

Looking at the catalog and legacy left behind, this figure is indeed worth a name as Queen. 'Bohemian Rhapsody' is one of the best songs of all time, born from the creativity and wild thoughts of Queen's players, especially Freddy Mercury.

Not to mention Queen's hits such as "We Will Rock You','somebody to Love' to 'Love of My Life'. These songs have become part of the history of music that will continue to be appreciated from generation to generation.
