Indonesia Plans To Increase Electric Car Exports, Neta Gets A Positive Signal From The Minister Of Industry

JAKARTA - On June 12, the Minister of Industry of the Republic of Indonesia Agus Gumiwang Kartasasmita visited Beijing, China to discuss the agreement to make Indonesia a hub for export production base.

On this occasion, the Minister of Industry and four electric vehicle companies, one of which is NETA Auto Overseas, agreed and will contribute to expanding the export market of Indonesian electric cars.

"We agree and support to make Indonesia the right-leaning EV production hub for the export market," said Vice President of NETA Auto Zhou Jiang, in his official statement, Thursday, June 20.

Zhou Jiang further said that Neta would be committed to meeting the Domestic Component Level (TKDN) of up to 60 percent by the end of 2026.

"As our effort to fulfill the Indonesian Government's program. We hope that Neta's agreement and commitment will advance the country's electric car industry," he added.

During the meeting, the Indonesian government also set a target for the production of electric vehicles in 2030 to reach 600 thousand units.

With this, of course, the government hopes that Neta as one of the distributors of Indonesian electric cars can participate in increasing the production of right-wheeled electric cars and marketing them to 54 countries.

Synchronization between Government support and the role of electric vehicle industry players is expected to be able to make the Indonesian automotive market continue to advance to the ASEAN and foreign markets.

"We really appreciate the government, especially the Ministry of Industry, which has supported Neta in the process of utilizing incentives so that Neta can achieve a TKDN value of 44 percent for our new product, namely Neta V-II. In the future, we are committed to continuing to follow the plan and progress of electric car vehicles," he concluded.
