Java Island Is Still An Target For Nusantara Tourists During The 2024 Eid Al-Adha Long Holiday
JAKARTA - Java Island is still the destination of favorite tourist attractions for domestic tourists (wisnus) during the long Eid al-Adha 2024 holiday.
Adyatama Kepariwisata dan Ekonomi Kreatif Ahli Utama Kementerian Pariwisata dan Ekonomi Kreatif (Kemenparekraf)Nia Niscaya mengatakan, berdasarkan data milik Kementerian Perhubungan (Kemenhub), ada 709.841 penumpang yang menggunakan moda transport train untuk tujuan Pulau Jawa.
"(The passengers) of the train are no less interesting, there are 709,841 people. The average peak of the holiday season (peak season) is indeed on June 15, 2024)," Nia said at The Weekly Brief with Sandi Uno in Jakarta, Wednesday, June 19.
Nia said that the favorite train route still came from the Jakarta area for destinations in a number of areas of Java Island.
"So, Jakarta-Surabaya go back and forth. Then, Jakarta-Solo, Jakarta-Malang. But, there are also not from Jakarta, Yogyakarta-Banyuwangi. This is also something that people never cry, 'ih it turns out Banyuwangi is indeed extraordinary'. Then there is another Blitar-Bandung," he said.
"In general, the train (is the favorite mode of transportation) in Java, yes, because the infrastructure is quite strong," he added.
He added that favorite tourist destinations in Java are still in Bandung, West Java and Mount Bromo in East Java.
"Then, Bandung. Bandung is an attraction like Jakarta too, namely the zoo. So it looks, yes, family again. Indeed, foreign tourists are characteristic of people who like to travel together. Then, East Java is Mount Bromo. Back to an open area," he said.

As for favorite tourist destinations in the Jakarta area, they are still in Ragunan Wildlife Park and Taman Mini Indonesia Indah (TMII).
"Where do you go in Jakarta on average, it turns out that it is the Ragunan Wildlife Park. This is very family-like. Then, Taman Mini 40,000 visitors on 3 holidays because Taman Mini and Taman Margasatwa are open, yes, open space. So, we are grateful to have an open area around Jakarta," said Nia.
Nia said that 130,000 people visited the Jakarta Fair event on Monday, June 17, 2024.
"Hopefully they become a group that buys, yes, and not just look around," he said.
