KPU Has Not Processed To Replace Mirati Dewantingsih Who Was Elected As A Member Of The DPD

JAKARTA - The Coordinator of the Technical Division for the Idham Holik KPU Election, said that he could not process the replacement for Mirati Dewantingsih as a member of the Regional Representative Council (DPD) elected for the period 2024-2029.

The reason is, so far the KPU has not received a letter of clarification from the Maluku KPU regarding Mirati's resignation.

Idham conveyed this in response to the circulation of the invitation letter for the declaration of the leadership of the DPD for the period 2024-2029. In the declaration letter circulating, the name Nono Sampono is one of the candidates for the leadership of the DPD.

Meanwhile, Nono was declared unable to make a senator to Senayan by the KPU because from 11 districts/cities it only won 84,660 votes.

This is based on the results of the recapitulation of the Maluku KPU level vote acquisition specifically for DPD, Tuesday, March 19, 2024.

The number of votes owned by Nono, who is now deputy chairman of the DPD, is fifth after Mirati Dewantingsih's name was fourth.

Mirati, who is also the incumbent candidate, managed to collect 85,690 votes. The difference is 1,030 votes from Nono.

"You have to wait for clarification from the Maluku KPU first," said Idham, confirming, Wednesday, June 19.

Idham admitted that the KPU had received Mirati's resignation letter as a member of the elected DPD Maluku representative area. However, he said, the KPU had not been able to decide on Mirati's status to release her DPD position before receiving official clarification from the Maluku KPU regarding Mirati's decision.

"The information we received was that only June 20, 2024, the person concerned (Mirati-ed) had just arrived in Indonesia after performing the pilgrimage," said Idham.

Idham said he had sent a letter to the Maluku KPU asking for Mirati's clarification regarding her resignation. "Furthermore, the Maluku Provincial KPU should report the results of the clarification and submit a clarification report," he said.

He also said that after receiving clarification from Miranti, the KPU had three days to deliver the minutes. "The KPU no later than 3 days after the clarification," concluded Idham.
