Formappi Values There Is An Intrik Regarding The Election Of DPD RI Mirati Dewantingsih And Nono Sampono

JAKARTA - Researcher of the Indonesian Parliamentary Concerned Society (Formappi) Lucius Karus alleged that there was a certain transaction between Mirati Dewantingsih and Nono Sampono regarding the results of the 2024-2029 DPD RI election. Lucius also urged Bawaslu and KPU to examine the two candidates for senators from Maluku. Lucius revealed that his suspicion was based on Nono's own steps in withdrawing the dispute over General Election Results (PHPU) at the Constitutional Court (MK) a few weeks ago. Meanwhile, Mirati, who received one seat in the Maluku Provincial DPD as a party related to the Nono dispute, suddenly resigned.

"This is really strange. Mirati, who must have received a DPD seat, chose to resign after Nono, who originally wanted to displace him through the PHPU, canceled the process at the Constitutional Court," Lucius told reporters, Wednesday, June 19. Therefore, Lucius assessed that the KPU or Bawaslu had to check what happened behind the two people's decision before establishing one of the two as members of the elected DPD.

"Or maybe there is a certain transaction between Mirati and Nono that allows the process of Mirati's resignation to be carried out after Nono is confirmed to have failed to pass to Senayan as a member of the DPD? This is definitely not a coincidence," he continued.

According to Lucius, the winner of the election certainly wants to enjoy the fruits of his hard work, not actually choosing to resign. Like Mirati, who had struggled from the start until the election was over with positive results.

"Can't someone be elected by influencing other candidates through methods outside of the election mechanism except through the Constitutional Court dispute? So for me, before being confirmed as a member of the elected DPD, it is better if the post-election process that affects selected candidates must be checked carefully before the inauguration," he said.

Previously, the Indonesian General Elections Commission (KPU) was reported to have received Mirati Dewantingsih's resignation letter as a member of the DPD RI. Even so, the KPU has not been able to decide on Mirati's status before receiving official clarification from the Maluku Province KPU.

Based on the results of the elected Mirati from the Maluku representative area by obtaining support for 85,690 votes. With that many votes, he placed him in fourth position.

However, along with that, news circulated that Mirati planned to take part in the regional head election (Pilkada) as a candidate for regent of Central Maluku. Therefore, according to the provisions, he had to give up his victory as a senator or leave the position of DPD.

If he has officially resigned, Mirati will be replaced by Nono Sampono. Nono, who is now the leader of the DPD RI, is in fifth position in the selection of members of the Maluku representative DPD.

Nono received 84,660 votes for voters. "The information we received was that Mirati carried out the pilgrimage, the plan was for June 20, 2024, to arrive in the country," said Chairman of the Indonesian KPU Technical Division Idham Halim, Tuesday, June 18.

Idham said that his party had sent a letter to the Maluku Provincial KPU asking for clarification on Mirati regarding her resignation. "Furthermore, the Maluku Provincial KPU reported the results of the clarification and conveyed it in the minutes," he said.

After receiving clarification from Mirati, the KPU has three days to deliver the minutes. Therefore, Idham explained, before there was a clarification letter from Mirati, no replacement could be determined. "You have to wait for clarification from the Maluku KPU first," he concluded.

Meanwhile, the Head of the Technical Division for the Implementation of the Maluku Province KPU Election, Almudatsir Zain Sangadji, confirmed that he had not received Mirati's clarification. "The person concerned is carrying out the pilgrimage, as well as carrying out the supervisory function as a member of the DPD," he said when confirmed separately.

Zain also said that he was only carrying out his duties according to the mandate of the Law regarding the resignation of Mirati. "We are only carrying out our duties, after receiving clarification, we will report it to the center," he said.
