Tipis Vs Austria Win, Didier Deschamps: Opening Match Always Difficult
JAKARTA - Only 1-0 thin over Austria at the Esprit Arena, Dusseldorf, Tuesday WIB, France coach Didier Deschamps said he was satisfied with the victory his team got in the opening match of the Euro or Euro 2024.
In the match with a single goal scored through Maximilian Wober's own goal (38'), France had difficulty in the first 30 minutes due to the high pressure given by Austria.
However, in that case Les Bleus was able to get out of the pressure several times because according to Deschamps his team "has quality and talent".
"It was never easy to win against a team that had athletic quality and put a lot of pressure on it," said Deschamps, quoted from the official UEFA website, reported by ANTARA, Tuesday, April 18.
"We can handle certain situations better in the first or second sphere, but overall we performed well," he continued.
"We have quality and talent, and there is good solidarity among the players. We have to defend it. I am satisfied with this opening victory," he added.

Meanwhile, midfielder N'Golo Kante also said he was delighted to win the inaugural Euro 2024 match "There are concerns, but it's fun to start together and get back to that feeling. Everything is going well".
The player, who returned to his place in France, also admitted that he was worried about the nose injury that hit Kylian Mbappe after the star was hit by Austrian defender Kevin Danso.
"We are worried about seeing Kylian leave the field. We don't know how the situation is, but we want to see him come back soon," said the 33-year-old midfielder.
This victory brought France to second place in Group D with three points, behind the Netherlands with the same collection of points. The two teams will then face each other at the Red Bull Arena, Leipzig, on Saturday (22/6) at 02.00 WIB.
