Natuna Police Ordered Dozens Of Youths Perpetrators Of Illegal Racing

Natuna Police have brought order to dozens of teenagers who carried out illegal racing in Pering, East Bunguran District, Natuna Regency, Riau Islands.Head of the Public Relations Section of the Natuna Police, Aipda David Arviad, said the control incident was carried out last Sunday night.Dozens of teenagers who were detained were taken to the Natuna Police Station, then handed over to their respective parents."The action of the Natuna Police is an effort to provide a deterrent effect on teenagers in illegal racing activities that are troubling the community," he said in Natuna, Antara, Monday, June 17.He hopes that the actions taken by his party will make the teenagers aware and in the future they will not repeat themselves and begin preparing themselves to become a superior next generation.With strict law enforcement, he said, it is hoped that it will increase awareness of the importance of compliance with traffic and driving safety rules for all parties."The teenagers are the spearhead of regional progress in the future," he said.Meanwhile, the Head of Criminal Investigation Unit of the Natuna Police, Aipda Teddy Saputra, who led the illegal racing control activity, said that during the control on Sunday night at around 23.30 WIB, apart from teenagers, his party also secured 18 motorcycles used for this activity."This action was carried out because of concerns about the inconvenience to residents and potential hazards that could threaten the safety of themselves or other road users," he said.He also said that some of the vehicles were still being held at the Natuna Police Station and his party would hand them over if the perpetrator's parents brought the vehicle documents.
"Currently, the Natuna Police are still holding the motorbike, the family is asked to bring the completeness of the letter and complete the shortcomings on the motorbike used," he said.
