Central Jakarta Adds 1 More RTH Development In The Densely Populated Area Of Johar Baru

JAKARTA - The Central Jakarta City Government (Pemkot Jakpus) will add to the existence of the Johar Baru Area Green Open Space (RTH) at the end of 2024.

Central Jakarta Mayor Dhany Sukma said the target was in the fourth quarter (October-December 2024) and is currently in process.

"That's why we have already divided the design between the Parks Sub-dept., Water Resources, to communicate the green space with the blue space," said Dhany when confirmed, Sunday, June 16.

Dhany said that the arrangement of green open space in the Johar Baru area is a development in utilizing the local government's land with a land area of almost 1,000 square meters.

Later, the green open space will be arranged in the form of an interaction park, sports facilities, meeting places, fences, playgrounds, and so on such as the Child Friendly Integrated Public Space (RPTRA) model.

"Later it will be like an RPTRA model but on an integrated scale that is self-managed, development," he said.

Dhany added that the construction and arrangement of green open space will continue to be carried out to support various community activities.
