Anindya hopes that the extraordinary preparations of these three athletes will hopefully produce satisfactory results. Moreover, weightlifting is one of the mainstay sports to gain a gold medal.
"I think the important thing is that they focus on training, rest, and of course given comfort. So, their athletes already know what to do, the target, and it's important that they know there is a team that supports them," said Anindya.
Weightlifting is one of the sports that is very consistent in contributing medals for Indonesia. This sport has contributed a total of seven silver medals and eight bronze medals for Indonesia at the Olympics.
One of the silver medals was obtained in the 2020 edition in Tokyo through Eko Yuli Irawan. This year is Eko's fifth chance to appear in the Olympics in a row.
