KPK Denies Allegations Of Politics Because The Harun Masiku Case Is Crowded In Political Momentum, Considers It Just A Coincidence
JAKARTA - The Corruption Eradication Commission (KPK) denied any political content when investigating the Harun Masiku case, which is still at large. Investigators are confirmed to continue to seek bribes from former KPU commissioner Wahyu Setiawan.
"Once again, investigators are still trying to find the person concerned with the strategies that return to public," said KPK spokesman Tessa Mahardika to reporters at the KPK's Merah Putih building, Kuningan Persada, South Jakarta, Friday, June 14.
"Various new information will be traced without exception," said Tessa. "There are also several countries based on the information we have received that investigators have not visited in the context of any political agenda," he said.
"Once again, if it happens at the same time or by chance, it just happens," continued Tessa.
As previously reported, Harun Masiku became a fugitive after being named a suspect in giving bribes to former KPU Commissioner Wahyu Setiawan to serve as a member of the DPR through interim shifts (PAW).

The investigators have now examined four witnesses to find their whereabouts. One of them is PDIP Secretary General Hasto Kristiyanto on Monday, June 10.
During the examination, KPK investigators also confiscated cellphones and notebooks which were claimed to contain the 2024 Pilkada winner held by Hasto Kristiyanto Staff, Kusnadi. This made PDIP suspect that politicization had occurred.
In addition, the confiscation resulted in reporting to the KPK Supervisory Board to Komnas HAM. Anti-corruption commission investigators are considered to have worked by not following the applicable rules.
