Adang Khofifah, PKB And PDIP Intentions To Marry Risma-Marzuki In The 2024 Central Java Gubernatorial Election
JAKARTA - Deputy Secretary General of the PKB DPP, Syaiful Huda, stated that his party opened up opportunities to form a coalition with PDIP in the 2024 East Java Governor and Deputy Governor Election (Pilgub). According to Huda, PKB and PDIP are ready to carry the duet of former East Java PWNU Chair KH Marzuki Mustamar and Social Minister Tri Rismaharini (Risma) to fight the duo of Khofifah Indar Parawansa and Emil Dardak.
"I myself propose a couple to fight Mbak Khofifah, one of which is the PKB-PDIP coalition with kiai figures Marzuki and Mrs. Risma," Huda said in his statement, Thursday, June 14.
Huda assessed that the proposal for the Marzuki-Risma duet could potentially be realized in the 2024 East Java gubernatorial election. The reason is that the PDIP requirements to propose a cawagub are difficult for Khofifah to accept, who has been finally paired with Emil Dardak.
"Initially, PDIP friends wanted to be part of Mbak Khofifah's carriage by carrying out a representative candidate. However, with the latest developments and several party recommendations, Mbak Khofifah and Mr. Emil Dardak have been packaged," said Huda.
Huda admitted that his party had not communicated with the PDIP and Risma DPP regarding the discourse of the duet. However, communication between the ranks of the PKB DPW and the East Java PDIP DPD has been running to explore the coalition in the East Java gubernatorial election.
"As far as I know, there has been communication at the East Java level," he said.

Furthermore, Huda said that until now, his party had not received KH Marzuki Mustamar's willingness to participate in the East Java Pilkada contestation. However, the encouragement from cadres, sympathizers, PKB administrators, and the people of East Java continues to strengthen so that KH Marzuki Mustamar will run in the East Java Pilkada.
"Kai Marzuki is not only a kiai, he is actually also a civil servant at the Ministry of Religion. As far as I know, he has not retired and is still active as a civil servant. This means that his bureaucratic experience is quite long. As a former PWNU administrator, he has sufficient experience as a leader," concluded Huda.
