Defending Subordinates Regarding The Confiscation Of Mobile Phones And Hasto PDIP Records, KPK Dirdik: We Are Not Careless
JAKARTA - KPK Director of Investigation Asep Guntur Rahayu said the forced efforts made by his subordinates were not carried out simply. Investigators must follow the applicable rules and procedures.
This was conveyed by Asep in response to the steps taken by the PDI-P Secretary General (PDIP) Hasto Kristiyanto to report investigators to the KPK Supervisory Board to Bareskrim Polri. This effort was made because they did not accept the confiscation of cellphones to notebooks from the hands of Hasto staff, Kusnadi.
This confiscation was carried out when Hasto was examined as a witness in the Harun Masiku case on Monday, June 10.
"We are also preparing ourselves, of course, in carrying out forced efforts. Of course, it is not arbitrary because we have prepared starting from the order letter, then we also follow the existing POB," Asep told reporters at the KPK's Merah Putih building, Kuningan Persada, South Jakarta, Thursday, June 13.
This reason is also what makes the investigative team relaxed in facing reports from Hasto's camp. In fact, Asep actually called it a form of control.
"Is this disturbing? Actually, we from the investigators welcomed what Pak HK did," he said.
"Because this is also for us investigators it is a control for us," he continued.

Asep was also not worried that his subordinates would have to be summoned by the KPK Supervisory Board. Because, testing will certainly be carried out during the process.
"With the reporting to the KPK Council, Bareskrim then also to Komnas HAM for us, it is an opportunity for us to convey, both to Dewas and to Komnas HAM as well as to other parties to test the investigation process that we carried out. So there is no problem," concluded Asep.
