Major Marwan Iswandi, to KY.On Wednesday, Marwan and a member of the legal team, Pegi Setiawan, went to KY and asked the agency to intervene to oversee the case by supervising his client's pretrial hearing."Our goal here is one, namely for KY to monitor the trial, especially the pretrial trial of Pegi Setiawan which we have registered and God willing, it will not take long for the trial," he said.By submitting an application, he hopes that KY can pay close attention to the behavior of the judges who lead the trial. If there are indications of fraud, he said that his party did not hesitate to report other supervisory agencies.Previously, on Tuesday, June 11, as many as 22 attorneys for the suspect, Pegi Setiawan, filed a pretrial lawsuit against the Bandung District Court. They sued the determination of the suspect's status to his client, which was deemed insufficient evidence.It is known that Vina's murder and rape took place in August 2016. The Cirebon teenager was murdered with his girlfriend, Muhammad Rizky or Eky.This case resurfaced after a film entitled Vina: Before 7 Days it received public attention because the case still leaves three suspects who have not been caught.
On May 21, 2024, the West Java Regional Police arrested the masterminds of the murder cases of Vina and Eky, namely the suspect Pegi Setiawan alias Perong. The Director of General Crimes at the West Java Police, Kombes Surawan, said that only Pegi Setiawan had been the DPO so far. This is based on the results of his investigation.
