Weather Thursday 13 June: Cloudy Jakarta, Java And Sumatra Still Raining
JAKARTA - The Meteorology, Climatology and Geophysics Agency (BMKG) warned that rain still has the potential to flush a number of parts of Indonesia today, including several major cities with various rain intensity.
In an early weather warning quoted from Jakarta, Thursday, June 13, BMKG said there was the potential for rain in a number of areas included in the provinces of West Sumatra, Riau, Bengkulu, Jambi, South Sumatra, Lampung, Banten, West Java, Central Java and East Java.
Rain is also likely to fall in West Kalimantan, Central Kalimantan, North Kalimantan, East Kalimantan, North Sulawesi, Gorontalo, Central Sulawesi, South Sulawesi, Southeast Sulawesi, North Maluku, Maluku, West Papua and Papua.
BMKG said rain with lighter intensity could also occur in the Riau Islands, Bangka Belitung Islands, DKI Jakarta, West Nusa Tenggara, South Kalimantan and West Sulawesi.
BMKG weather forecasts say that most cities in Indonesia will experience sunny cloudy and cloudy weather conditions, with only a few cities predicted to experience rain.

In particular, heavy rains are predicted to fall in the cities of Gorontalo, Banjarmasin and Padang. Meanwhile, rain with moderate and light intensity can occur in Bengkulu, Bandung, Pontianak, Palangkaraya, Samarinda, Tarakan, Pangkal Pinang, Tanjung Pinang, Bandar Lampung, Ambon, Ternate, Manokwari, Makassar, Kendari, Manado and Palembang.
For the Jakarta area, most of the areas will experience cloudy conditions throughout the day. With light rain, it is estimated that it could potentially occur in the Thousand Islands in the morning.
