KPK Leader Hasto PDIP Doesn't Need To Be Prevented From Going Abroad Because Of Cooperatives
Deputy Chairperson of the KPK Alexander Marwata assessed that Hasto Kristiyanto did not need to be prevented from leaving the country because of the Harun Masiku case. He said the PDI-P Secretary General (PDIP) was always in Jakarta and showed a cooperative attitude.
Hal ini disampaikan Alexander saat menanggapi adanya isu pimpinan komisi antirasuah satu suara menunda pengajuan pencegahan terhadap Hasto ke Ditjen Imigrasi.
"The person concerned is in Jakarta, why is it prevented. Prevent it, right, preventing the person concerned from going abroad," Alexander told reporters at the KPK's Merah Putih building, Kuningan Persada, South Jakarta, Wednesday, June 12.
Alexander agreed with a request from investigators that Hasto be prevented from traveling. However, the leadership has measured whether or not these efforts are necessary.
Hasto has complied with the investigator's summons on Monday, June 10. He also promised to follow the legal process related to the bribery of former KPU commissioner Wahyu Setiawan who is still at large today.
"Reject it, we will definitely do an assessment, there is a possibility that the person concerned will run away or not," said Alexander.
"If the witness is cooperative, especially Mr. Hasto himself said that he will attend, what is prevented," he continued.

As previously reported, PDIP Secretary General Hasto Kristiyanto has been examined as a witness regarding the latest information about Harun Masiku who is still at large on Monday, June 10. After that, he complained because the cellphone in his assistant was confiscated.
This confiscation made him argue with investigators. Then, Hasto asked for the examination to be postponed.
For information, Hasto became the fourth witness summoned by the KPK after new information. Harun became a fugitive when he was named a suspect in giving bribes to former KPU Commissioner Wahyu Setiawan to serve as a member of the DPR through interim shifts (PAW).
