5 Drug Dealers Arrested In Kendari, Southeast Sulawesi, Police Secure 1.35 Kg Of Crystal Methamphetamine

SULTRA - The Directorate of Drug Investigation (Dit Resnarkoba) of the Southeast Sulawesi Regional Police (Polda) arrested five drug dealers of methamphetamine by confiscating evidence circulating weighing 1.35 kilograms (kg).

Head of Public Relations of the Southeast Sulawesi Regional Police, Kombes Pol. Iis Kristian, said the arrest was made by the Dit Resnarkoba Team of the Southeast Sulawesi Police, during the period May until the first week of June 2024.

"With a total of five suspects from four police reports," said Iis Kristian when confirmed in Kendari, Tuesday, June 11, was confiscated by Antara.

Meanwhile, the Director of Drug Research at the Southeast Sulawesi Police, AKBP Ardiyanto Tedjo Baskoro, said that the five suspects each had the initials AA (36), who was arrested in Poasia District, Kendari City, on May 19, 2024, at around 14.20 WITA.

"We have secured the evidence belonging to AA with a gross weight of 945.89 grams," said Ardiyanto Tedjo.

Furthermore, the second suspect with the initials LS (25), who was also arrested in Poasia Village, Poasia District, Kendari City, on the same day as the previous suspect, May 19, 2024 at around 21.30 WITA.

"The total evidence obtained was 105 packs containing methamphetamine with a gross weight of approximately 188.3 grams," said Ardiyanto.

Ardiyanto continued, the third police report was obtained by two suspects with the initials ADG and FGA. Both were arrested in Poasia District, Kendari City, on May 30, 2024 at around 22.30 WITA.

"The total evidence of the two suspects who were secured was methamphetamine with a gross weight of 183.2 grams," he explained.

For the fourth public report, Ardiyanto revealed that his party managed to arrest one suspect with the initials AW (23) in Poasia District, Kendari City, on June 4, 2024 at around 23.40 WITA.

"For this suspect, 32.75 grams of crystal methamphetamine was confiscated," said Ardiyanto.

The five suspects have now been detained at the Southeast Sulawesi Regional Police along with the evidence. They will be subject to Law Number 35 of 2009 concerning Narcotics.
