SUMBAR - Class II BMKG Climatology Station West Sumatra Province (West Sumatra) said the Climate Lapang School is an adaptation solution to climate change to reduce the adverse effects caused, especially in the agricultural sector.
"We do this Climate Lapang school in rotation to help farmers, especially facing the impact of climate change," said Head of Class II Climatology Station of West Sumatra Province Heron Tarigan in Padang, Tuesday, June 11, as reported by Antara.
Especially in Minang Field, Class II Climatology Station has run Climate Lapang Schools in several locations including Solok Regency, Limapuluh Kota Regency, Padang Pariaman Regency, Payakumbuh City, and Padang City.
Entering the transition period, BMKG appealed to farmers to be wiser by understanding the climate and weather through the existence of the Climate Lapang School.
The steps that farmers can take are to store rainwater supplies to a place such as reservoirs and the like. So that during the dry season farmers have no trouble finding water sources.
