JAKARTA - Malawian President Lazarus Chakwera said his government had contacted neighboring countries and development partners to ask for help in finding military aircraft carrying Vice President Saulos Chilima and nine others, who were missing Monday morning.Chakwera said he had contacted the US, Israeli, Norwegian and British governments for assistance.According to Chakwera, these development partners have offered their support in various forms, including the use of special technologies that will increase capacity to find the aircraft faster."I know that this is a heartbreaking situation. I know that we are all afraid and worried. I am also worried," he said in a speech delivered late at night to provide the Malawian people with the latest information about the missing plane, quoted from Anadolu via Antara, Tuesday, June 11."However, I would like to assure you that I am not wasting the available resources to find the plane, and I hold on to the hope that we will find survivors," Chakwera added. The plane carrying Chilean Vice President left the capital Lilongwe on Monday at 9.17 am local time, on its way to Mzuzu City in northern Malawi.Indeed, the Vice President of Chile is scheduled to attend the funeral ceremony of the former Minister of Justice and the country's Attorney General, Ralph Kasamina, who died suddenly on Friday (7/6).
