Persib Bandung Will Extend Cooperation With Bojan Hodak

JAKARTA - Persib Bandung coach, Bojan Hodak, was rewarded sweetly after successfully presenting the 2023/2024 League 1 Championship Series title. His contract with Maung Bandung will certainly run longer, to be precise for the next two seasons.

Regarding the extension of the coach's contract, this was conveyed by Persib Bandung Sports Director, Teddy Tjahjono.

Good news seems not only about coaches, he also ensured that Persib could appear in the 2024/2025 AFC Champions League Two playoffs (formerly known as the AFC Cup) because the AFC Club Licensing Regulation status appeal process has been officially granted.

This was conveyed by Teddy after the PSSI Ordinary Congress in Jakarta, Monday, June 10, 2024. With the current situation of Persib, it is certain that Bojan will continue to carpentry, the next step is to prepare the team.

"Bojan (Hodak) remains in the team. It (new contract duration) is two years old and is in the process of (signing the contract)," Teddy said in his statement.

"What is certain for us (Persib Bandung) is preparation because it is certain that this (AFC Champions League Two) is very competitive."

"That (AFC Champions League Two) is a parameter to determine league rankings (Indonesia) as well. We as representatives of Indonesia will play optimally in Asia," said Teddy.

Shifting to the composition of the players, Teddy explained that Maung Bandung will still appear with the framework last season. You see, most of the Persib players' contracts this season are more than one season long.

Even so, he did not rule out the possibility that there would be a breakthrough in the transfer market. Moreover, not only opportunities to bring in stone players, he said Persib also had the option of bringing in loan players.

Regarding the issue of adding foreign player quotas, from 5+1 to 7+1, Teddy did not want to be reckless. The reason is, this has not been determined by PSSI in Congress.
