YouGov Survey: Digital DANA Wallet Is A User Choice Outside Metropolitan City

JAKARTA - The use of digital wallets in Indonesia has become an important part of people's lifestyle, after the adoption of technology in the country has proven to encourage productivity in various sectors.

In line with this, the latest YouGov survey conducted on more than 4,000 online respondents in Indonesia in the first quarter of 2024, shows that 89 percent of respondents rely on digital wallets for transactions.

Interestingly, the survey saw where during the past quarter, the use of digital wallets from DANA from outside the metropolitan city reached 63 percent. This states that DANA is the choice of the community, especially for daily transaction activities.

In addition to the adoption of digital transactions, YouGov also noted an increase in the general preference of the public to save, with 37 percent of the population stating that they will increase the allocation of their income for savings or investment in the next year.

Similar findings can also be seen from DANA internal data, which shows that DANA users are starting to invest through the GOLD FUND feature with an increase of 19 percent in the first quarter of 2024 compared to the previous year.

Lim Wimawan Kusuma, VP of Marketing DANA said that the large number of people underbanked and underbanked in Indonesia, brought the focus of DANA to develop products and features that matched the needs of the Indonesian people.
