Head Of Authority Replaced, Minister Of Home Affairs Wants To Be Involved In Building IKN: I Can Connect Quickly
JAKARTA - Minister of Home Affairs (Mendagri) Tito Karnavian said he would help resolve land problems in the Nusantara Capital (IKN) area in order to accelerate the construction of a replacement capital city for Jakarta in East Kalimantan (Kaltim).
With the change of the Head of the IKN Authority, he actually wants to be further involved in the development. As Minister of Home Affairs, he is able to coordinate local governments to support acceleration.
"I can quickly connect (the local government) with Pak Basuki (Plt Head of the IKN Authority)," Tito said after attending a working meeting with the DPR RI at the Parliament Complex, Jakarta, Monday, June 10, which was confiscated by Antara.
So far, according to him, the issue of land is one of the main problems in the construction of IKN. He said the land issue also involved local governments.
He said the Acting (Pj) Regent of Penajam Paser Utara (PPU) Makmur Marbun was one of his staff at the Ministry of Home Affairs (Kemendagri), and Acting Governor of East Kalimantan Akmal Malik was also a Director General (Dirjen) at the Ministry of Home Affairs.
"So I have an emotional relationship," said the former Chief of the Indonesian National Police.

Personally, he also admitted that he wanted to immediately move to IKN because of natural factors that were an attraction for him. While on duty at the police, he admitted that he always enjoyed being assigned to serve in the regions because of the attractiveness of the natural environment.
In addition, he also believes that if there are ASNs who want to be transferred to IKN, they should be immediately promoted to a promotion. He admitted that he had applied the same thing related to the transfer of employees while serving at the Papua Police.
"In the past, when I made a policy at the Papua Regional Police, to encourage people to go to Papua, the place was used as a test case. It worked, it was promoted," he said.
