Wanting To Find A Planet Like Earth, NASA Will Create The Most Advanced Space Telescope In The World

JAKARTA The US Aeronautics and Space Agency (NASA) is still optimistic in searching for Earth-like planets. During the search, NASA requires advanced technologies that can observe materials. Therefore, NASA plans to build the Habitable World's Observatory Telescope (HWO). NASA has designed the basic technology needed and has submitted its concepts to three companies to develop its basic model. These three companies will research next-generation optics, design several telescope components, and create features from the telescope. In the making of all three things, the company will be charged 17.5 million US dollars (Rp284 billion). This mission must be done by the end of summer this year. The three selected companies will complete the early stages of the Habitable Worlds Telescope with different tasks. Here are some of the tasks to be worked on, cited from Sciencealert.

Once completed, the telescope will be launched into space to search for and observe planets similar to Earth. This foreign planet must circle its parent star, such as Earth that surrounds the Sun. HWO will study the atmosphere to look for chemical signs that can show signs of life. This mission will help scientists to be aware of chemicals such as oxygen and methane in the atmosphere.
