The Forward Indonesia Coalition Is Considered To Be Able To Win In Jakarta And West Java If Support Ridwan Kamil
JAKARTA - The opportunity for the Forward Indonesia Coalition (KIM) to control the Jakarta and West Java gubernatorial elections is open if it supports the former Governor of West Java, Ridwan Kamil, as a candidate for governor (cagub).
This was conveyed by the Executive Director of the Indonesia Political Review (IPR), Ujang Komarudin, analyzing the statement of the Daily Chair of the Gerindra Party, Sufmi Dasco Ahmad, who said Ridwan Kamil would run in the Jakarta gubernatorial election.
He said, it is possible that the parties that join the coalition can win in West Java and Jakarta can be realized.
"West Java could be Gerindra wanting to take it with Dedi Mulyadi installed with candidates for governor and Ridwan Kamil from Golkar in Jakarta."
"It was a win-win solution for KIM to win all over the two regions," Ujang told reporters, Saturday, June 8, 2024.

This political observer said that the current political conditions of each party are peeking at the most appropriate regional head candidates.
However, KIM's nuances of wanting to win in West Java and Jakarta are very visible by winning Dedi Mulyadi and Ridwan Kamil.
"KIM wants to win in West Java. KIM also wants to win in Jakarta," said Ujang.
Meanwhile, Executive Director of Indonesian Political Parameters, Adi Prayitno, said that the Jakarta Pilkada is still dynamic.
When it comes to surveys, there are two strong figures, such as Anies Baswedan and Ridwan Kamil.
"If a name like Anies can run, then the opponent who is commensurate is only RK. Other names have not been competitive," he said.
Dasco, who is the daily chairman of the Gerindra Party, said his party was still waiting for the official position of the Golkar Party before carrying Ridwan Kamil in the Jakarta Pilkada. He said there had been discussions regarding the support.
"Yes, at the time before the presidential election there was already a discourse and then it was conveyed by Kang RK that he wanted to run for the DKI Regional Election. At that time Golkar was also supportive," Dasco told reporters in Jakarta, Friday, June 7, 2024.
Meanwhile, the Golkar Party has not yet provided an answer regarding the advancement of Ridwan Kamil in the Jakarta Pilkada.
"Waiting for the party's decision and of course on various considerations of our chairman and the Golkar Party DPP Regional Election Team," said Golkar Party DPP chairman Ace Hasan Syadzily.
