The heavy rain caused a number of houses to be affected by flooding and also experienced landslides in the Karangasem Regency, Bali.
The Chief Executive (Kalaksa) of the Karangasem Regency BPBD, Ida Bagus Ketut Arimbawa said, there were about seven houses affected by flooding in Karangasem Regency.
In addition, there was also a landslide on Jalan Amlapura-Denpasar, precisely in the Sang Hyan Ambu area, Bugbug Village, until it was completely paralyzed due to landslides.
"The affected while reports were that approximately seven houses were affected by puddles but had receded," said Arimbawa, Friday, June 7.
The impact of landslides in the Sang Hyan Ambu area has been overcome and road access can now be passed.
"It's finished, traffic can be opened in two lanes. But there is still a need to remove materials that are marginalized with heavy equipment," he added.
Floods and landslides in the Karangasem Regency area occurred after heavy rains occurred on Thursday (6/6) night.
"Rain from yesterday (night) the duration of the rain was quite long and then quite heavy. It caused water in the community fields to flow to people's homes to the streets," he said.
Confirmed separately, Manggis Sub-district Head I Putu Eka Putra Tirtana said more than 15 flood points were recorded in Manggis District, Karangasem Regency, Bali.
