Bali Police Did Not Find Allegations Of 3 Kg LPG Opposing In Badung
DENPASAR - The Bali Regional Police (Polda) stated that there was no suspicion of mixing 3 kilograms of LPG cylinders in Badung Regency, as uploaded on social media by a resident in the area and went viral.
"From the results of the search and investigation, there were no additional 3 kilograms of subsidized LPG in the two locations," said Head of Public Relations of the Bali Police, Kombes Jansen Avitus Panjaitan in a statement in Denpasar, Thursday.
This was said by Jansen in response to the information conveyed by the Balinese people, especially the upload of a resident named Wayan Setyawan through the tiktok account @pelangidewata10 who uploaded the issue of LPG shortages and allegations of mixing by unscrupulous persons in Bali.
In the account, Setyawan uploaded a video showing two places suspected of massively mixing 3 kilograms of LPG cylinders.
Based on information from the Badung Police Chief Adjunct Senior Commissioner of Police Teguh Priyo Wasono, Head of Public Relations said that the Head of Criminal Investigation Unit of the Badung Police AKP I Gusti Nyoman Jaya Widura and his members had carried out an investigation regarding the content by visiting a content creator named Wayan Setiawan at his address in Sedang Village, Abiansemal District, Badung, to ask for clarification.
Two locations mentioned by the uploader of each video of a warehouse in Tangeb Village, Abianbase Village, Mengwi District, Badung, with the owner on behalf of GAK and a warehouse in Sopangan Village, Mengwi, named IWS.
From the results of searches and investigations in two locations, the police did not find any activities of mixing 3 kilograms of subsidized LPG into non-subsidized tubes.
Based on the information of the two warehouse owners, Jansen added, it was true that they had previously mixed 3 kilograms of subsidized LPG into non-subsidized. However, after taking action by the Criminal Investigation Unit of the National Police together with the Bali Police in 2022, since then until now the warehouse has never been used again to collect LPG cylinders.

From the results of the investigation, content creators on behalf of Wayan Setiawan conveyed the reason for making the video because it was difficult to get subsidized LPG.
"The person concerned also apologized for creating content that cornered the Police and removed the content," he said, quoted by ANTARA.
Regarding the scarcity of 3 kilograms of subsidized LPG, the Bali Police and the ranks are currently conducting surveillance and investigations to anticipate the existence of individuals seeking profit by abusing subsidized LPG.
Jansen said that based on information from the Operational Manager of SPBE Badung Komang Yudiastika, which conveyed the scarcity of 3 kilograms of LPG because in April and May 2024 during the long holiday, SPBE experienced problems in sending stock to agents and bases.
This is one of the factors in the scarcity of LPG, including the government's program to collect data on people who are entitled to subsidized LPG and the needs of the community and MSMEs are increasing dramatically.
