Batam-Polda Riau Islands Customs Thwarts Methamphetamine Smuggling At Hang Nadim Airport
Batam Customs and Excise and Riau Islands Police thwarted two cases of smuggling methamphetamine or methamphetamine through ports and airports in the area.

In a different place, a man with the initials LKK was arrested by officers of Customs and Excise at the Batam Center International Ferry Port on May 15, 2024 at 16.30 WIB, who were caught carrying four black plastic packages containing methamphetamine weighing 100 grams.

The suspect was charged with Law no. 35 of 2009 concerning Narcotics Article 114 paragraph (2) in conjunction with Article 132 paragraph (2) with the threat of death / life imprisonment, or a minimum of 6 years and a maximum of 20 years, as well as a minimum fine of IDR 1 billion and a maximum of IDR 10 billion.
