President Director Of PT Hutama Karya Budi Harto Questioned About The Allocation Of Trans Sumatra Toll Road Land

JAKARTA - The Corruption Eradication Commission (KPK) is investigating the allocation of land around the Trans Sumatra Toll Road which leads to allegations of corruption. The President Director (Director) of PT Hutama Karya, Budi Harto, was questioned about this when investigators examined him yesterday, Wednesday, June 5.

"Yes, that's right, it's the road around which happens to be what the functions are for. We're investigating. On the road around the toll road, right, then there are lands around it, which then we are still investigating what the procurement is related to," said Head of the KPK News Section Ali Fikri to reporters at the KPK's Merah Putih building, Kuningan Persada, South Jakarta, Thursday, June 6.

Even so, Ali did not want to elaborate further on the investigation. Including when asked whether or not the land is intended to build housing, office or rest areas or rest areas.

"Well, that's precisely the substance of the investigation," he said.

Meanwhile, after being questioned, Budi Harto admitted that he was asked by investigators about the purchase of land outside the Trans Sumatra Toll Road for property. However, he did not explain the type.

"(Investigated related, red) there is a purchase of land, not for the Sumatra Toll Road, outside the toll road, (for) property," Budi Harto told reporters at the KPK's Merah Putih building, Kuningan Persada, South Jakarta on Tuesday, June 5.

Previously reported, the KPK investigated allegations of corruption related to land acquisition around the Trans Sumatra Toll Road. It was stated that there were more than two suspects in this case, one of which came from the internal PT Hutama Karya (Persero).

However, the KPK has not announced who they are. This is because the search for evidence to strengthen the actions of the suspects is still being carried out.

In investigating this case, the anti-corruption commission has asked the Directorate General of Immigration at the Ministry of Law and Human Rights to prevent three people from leaving the country for six months.

Based on the information obtained, they are former Directors of PT Hutama Karya, Bintang Perbowo and their employees, M. Rizal Sutjipto and Iskandar Zulkarnaen who are Commissioners of PT Sanitindo Tangsel Jaya.

The suspects in this case are suspected of causing the state to lose up to tens of billions of rupiah. This amount can still increase because the calculation is still ongoing.
