Two Residents Of Southwest Aceh Injured By Wild Dogs
BANDA ACEH - Two residents in Kuala Batee District, Southwest Aceh Regency (Abdya) were injured by stray dogs so they had to receive medical treatment at Tengku Peukan Hospital.
Village Head or Keuchik Gampong Ie Mameh, Kuala Batee District, Helmi said that one of the victims was a resident of Ie Mameh. The incident of residents being attacked by stray dogs occurred on Wednesday (5/6).
"One resident of mine named Saniah (60), the victim suffered a bite on his face, wrist, and several fingers of his right hand," Helmi said as quoted by ANTARA, Thursday, June 6.
According to Helmi, the incident occurred in the yard of the victim's house. At that time, Saniah tried to block the dog who was about to attack her livestock.

Helmi has reported the incident to the authorities including the sub-district and police chief, as well as the relevant agencies for further action to prevent other victims.
Separately, the sub-district head of Kuala Batee District, Budiwan, also confirmed the incident of residents being attacked by stray dogs. In fact, he said there were two victims of a stray dog attack in the Kuala Batee area.
"The identity of the second victim came from Gampong Rumoh Panjang and is still in the verification process," he said.
Budiwan appealed to the public to remain vigilant because stray dogs are still roaming community settlements.
"We have coordinated with the department and the police. If anyone sees the dog, please immediately report it to the authorities so that it can be handled properly," he said.
