Simon Cowell Prepares One Direction Successor, Will Be Documentary

JAKARTA - Simon Cowell is preparing a future successor to One Direction's success. Reportedly, he will provide special treatment to find this great star candidate.

As is known, Simon is one of the most instrumental in producing the 1D phenomenon. As his team has expired and is arguably disbanded, he is ready to hold an audition in the near future.

Launching Billboard, Simon will hold open auditions throughout the United Kingdom to form a new boyband.

"Every generation deserves to have a superstar boyband and I don't think anyone can match One Direction over the past 14 years. Industry is now more focused on solo artists," he said.

Not young, of course, it matches what One Direction has achieved. Moreover, the trend of vocal groups and boybands is almost abandoned.

"The risk is high, and I won't know what will happen later. Maybe we will give birth to a great group, or we will fail," he said.

Being a judge in various events and meeting many great talents doesn't make Simon 100% sure. He felt this audition had a big risk of failing.

"What if no one comes for an audition? It feels awkward. There is no guarantee for success because everything can happen, but that's just a fun thing for you, and that's why I did it," Simon continued.

Simon Cowell's attempt to give birth to One Direction which is just scheduled to take place next July. And reportedly this audition will also be made a series of documentarys to record the history he might make.
