Laying The First Rock Of Al Azhar Islamic School, Jokowi Emphasizes Educational Facilities Are Very Necessary At IKN
PENAJAM - President Joko Widodo (Jokowi) emphasized that educational facilities are needed in the capital city of Nusantara (IKN), East Kalimantan, in the future.
This was conveyed by the Head of State in his remarks at the groundbreaking ceremony for the Al Azhar Summarecon Nusantara Islamic School at IKN, Penajam Paser Utara, East Kalimantan.
"I really welcome the laying of the first stone for the construction of an integrated Islamic school Al Azhar Summarecon in the archipelago, because educational facilities are needed by IKN, both in elementary schools, junior high schools, high schools and so on," said President Jokowi as quoted by ANTARA, Tuesday, June 4.
The President conveyed that the school building in IKN was designed and designed very well, in the form of a stilt house with elements that blend with the environment, which can form a child's character from an early age to be close to the environment.
President Jokowi also invited investors to invest in IKN.

The President said that currently it will take more than two hours to get to IKN from Balikpapan. However, by the end of July or early August 2024, it is estimated that the toll road and airport have been completed, and will speed up travel time to IKN.
"If later in July or early August the toll road is finished, from Balikpapan it will go straight to IKN, it only takes approximately 30-40 minutes. Moreover, later at the end of July or early August the airport at IKN has been completed and can be accommodated by commercial aircraft. This will bring the archipelago closer to ladies and gentlemen," said President Jokowi.
The President said investment in IKN is buying the future. In addition, land in IKN is currently, according to him, still IDR 400-800 thousand per meter and can increase rapidly if demand increases.
"So if you are interested as a contractor, you will immediately talk to the Minister of Public Works. There is Mr. Deputy Minister of ATR/BPN who is now Deputy Head of the Authority, Mr. King of July, to immediately get land in the archipelago," said President Jokowi.
