Unique Study: Racing Exhaust Bribery And User Suspected Symptoms?

JAKARTA - Researchers from Western University in Ontario, Canada, have just released the results of a study that is quite eccentric. They researched people's interest in the noisy exhaust sound of aionist car. This research was led by Professor Julie Aitken Schermer.

Initially, he was curious about drivers who liked to use exhaust racing on their cars. The question is: "What kind of character do people feel at home to the noise?"

Launching Car and Driver, June 4, this study involved 529 students majoring in business. They were asked about their opinion about the noisy exhaust, whether they saw the car as a personal representation and whether they were interested in modifying the exhaust to produce a harder sound.

Well, it turns out that the professor is surprised by the results. It turns out that students who are interested in noisy exhausts tend to have a high score on the scale of "psychopathy and sadistic". This study uses "Short Dark Tetrad" personality tests to measure a person's tendency to negative traits such as cruelty, fighting, and manipulativeity.

This study underlined that there is no correlation with disability. This means that interest in the sound of noisy exhausts is not just "want to show off". The researchers concluded that this is more of a "want to be heard", whether liked by others or not.

Trucks And Motorbikes Worse?

This study only focuses on cars. Professor Schermer suspects that truck drivers and motorists who like to use noisy exhaust sounds may have higher scores of psychopaths and sadisticism. The reason is that other studies have shown that large vehicles are often associated with aggressive attitudes.

Well, this study has not examined preferences for the sound of a loud machine, for example from a supercharger or blow-off valve.

Please note, not all racing exhausts are created the same. Some have accepted their voices, and some make their ears hurt, especially when passing through the middle of the night. This study did not necessarily equate all fans of noisy exhausts with psychopaths. However, it is better for us to be wiser in modifying the vehicle. Remember, the comfort of other people's ears also needs to be maintained!
