MIND ID Boss: PT Timah's Condition Concerns

JAKARTA - President Director of Holding BUMN Mining MIND ID, Hendi Prio Santoso revealed the condition of his member, PT Timah Tbk.

He said the company's condition was very concerning.

Hendi explained that MIND ID is also taking a number of ways so that the company can recover.

He said, currently the focus is on recovering.

"PT Timah is in an alarming condition, so the focus on the current for management is how to recover, restructuring, and how to contribute to proposing new trade and governance in the context of restructuring the entire industry," said Hendi in a meeting with Commission VI of the DPR, at the DPR RI Complex, Senayan, Jakarta, Monday, June 3.

"Now in the process of controlling the law, there is indeed a need for totality of changes in trade governance and governance which also regulates not only PT Timah but the entire tin industry," he continued.

This alarming condition cannot be separated from the renewal or update of state losses based on the complaint carried out by the Financial and Development Supervisory Agency (BPKP) which reached IDR 300.003 trillion.

Previously, Attorney General Sanitiar Burhanuddin stated that state losses in the case of alleged corruption in the tin trading system of the Mining Business Permit (IUP) PT Timah Tbk from 2015 to 2022 based on the results of the BPKP audit reached IDR 300.003 trillion.

"Initially we estimated Rp271 trillion, it turns out that after being audited the BPKP, the value was quite fantastic, around Rp300,003 trillion," he said at the Attorney General's Office, Jakarta, Wednesday, May 29.

The results of the audit by the Financial and Development Supervisory Agency (BPKP) were submitted by BPKP Chairman Muhammad Yusuf Ateh to Attorney General Sanitiar Burhanuddin.

Ateh said that his party investigated state losses after being asked by the Attorney General's Office.

Based on the request, his party carried out audit procedures, investigations and also asked for information from experts.

"We submit the results of the audit of the calculation of state losses in cases of alleged non-criminal corruption in tin commodity trading, as stated by the Attorney General in total losses of around Rp. 300.003 trillion," said Ateh.
