EREV's Aito M7 Ultra Officially Launches

JAKARTA - The Aito brand of an environmentally friendly vehicle from China officially launched the Ultra version for the Sport Utility Vehicle (SUV) M7, less than a year after major updates to the model.

The M7 Ultra variant is only available in variants of electric vehicles with expanded range or EREV and no ordinary BEV version is available, meaning this car also uses electricity, but unlike pure electric vehicles (BEVs) because it has a small ICE engine that functions as a power generator to recharge the battery when the battery runs out.

Quoting from the CNevpost page, Monday, June 3, Aito M7 Ultra offers two options, namely five seats and six seats which are priced starting from 289,800 yuan or around Rp648 million and the highest reaching 329,800 yuan or Rp738 million.

The delivery of the M7 Ultra began on June 2 and is expected to reach 20,000 units in the same month, and is expected to bring the Aito brand to deliver approximately 40 thousand units in one month.

As is known, Aito is a premium car brand launched by Seres in collaboration with Huawei on December 2, 2021, and has released models including Aito M5, Aito M7, and Aito M9.

The M7 Ultra dimensions remain unchanged, with a length, width, and height of 5,820 mm, 1,945 mm, and 1,760 mm, respectively, and a wheelbase of 2,820 mm.

The M7 Ultra is available in single-motor and double-motor versions, with the single-motor variant carrying a motorbike with a maximum power of 200 kW and a maximum torque of 360 Nm, and capable of accelerating from 0 to 100 km/hour in 7.8 seconds.

The version of the double motorbike carries a front motorbike with a torque of 130 kW and 300 Nm and a rear motorbike with a torque of 200 kW and 360 Nm capable of accelerating from 0 to 100 km/hour within 4.8 seconds.

The battery packages used on the M7 Ultra are all Li-ion 42 kWh ternary batteries capable of producing a CLTC battery range of 240 km or 210 km. With full fuel and battery, this model has a combined range of 1,300 km of CLTC or 1,250 km.

In addition, the Ultra series uses LiDAR with 192 laser channels that support the Huawei ADS 2.0 assisted drive system and will be upgraded to Huawei ADS 3.0.

Talking about the model from Aito itself has been introduced in Indonesia, under the auspices of PT Sokoindo Automobile. Even Aito M7 has been introduced at the IIMS Surabaya 2024 event, and it is predicted that the GIIAS event will be the right place to be closer to the model.
