Government Encourages The Utilization Of Gas Jars In Households To Reduce The Use Of Elpiji
JAKARTA - The Ministry of Energy and Mineral Resources (ESDM) through the Directorate General of Oil and Gas (Migas) continues to encourage the use of natural gas to the community, one of which is through the natural gas network (jargas) program to households.
Director of Engineering and the Oil and Gas Environment of the Ministry of Energy and Mineral Resources, Noor Arifin Muhammad, said that the use of natural gas for gas programs could reduce the use of LPG gas.
"We can take advantage of domestic gas production to replace LPG, and reduce imports and subsidies," he said, quoted on Saturday, June 1.
In the future, Noor hopes that the jargas program can be expanded more widely and the penetration can be more massive, considering that using natural gas is in line with the roadmap initiated by the government in terms of the transition to clean energy.
Furthermore, Noor said that the Directorate General of Oil and Gas will always support the safety and security aspects of this jargas program, both in terms of customers and from companies working on the jargas project.
"We always support networks and installations in terms of safety and operations so that they are safe and reliable. We also support these jargas builders, in this case PGN," he said.
