AHY: Land Certificate Crimes Still Occur And Systematic

PEKANBARU - Minister of Agrarian Affairs and Spatial Planning/National Land Agency (ATR/BPN) Agus Harimurti Yudhoyono (AHY) said that now land certificate crimes are still happening and even systematic.

"Therefore, electronic certificates are needed, and with the enactment of the use of electronic land certificates, it can prevent and collect data easily on land ownership according to the provisions," AHY said when launching the implementation of the land electronic certificate service in Pekanbaru as reported by ANTARA, Friday, May 31.

AHY also symbolically distributed electronic certificates, namely Regional Property Electronic Certificates (BMD), five State Property Certificates (BMN), and two individual Ownership Certificates (SHM).

According to AHY, by using this electronic land certificate, it can prevent and collect data easily on land ownership according to the provisions.

BPN itself, he said, was asked to use this electronic land certificate as an effort to facilitate services and acceleration steps in every management. On that occasion AHY held the leadership of the district and city BPN in Riau who was present.

"To BPN regencies and cities in Riau to carry out the electronic land certificate program properly, and services to the community must be of high quality," he said.

Next AHY visits the service counter. Apart from officers, AHY also interacts with residents who sit in line for service.

On the same day AHY accompanied President Joko Widodo at the inauguration ceremony of the Bangkinang-XIII Toll Road, Koto Kampar.

Head of Pekanbaru City BPN Office Doni Syafrial said the land electronic certificate service began to be implemented Friday (31/5) in Pekanbaru to introduce the public at the transition from a green analog land certificate to a safer and more efficient electronic certificate.

"Despite switching to an electronic certificate, physical certificates still exist. This physical certificate becomes more practical, only one sheet consists of a front page containing juridical data and a backyard containing physical soil data and an image," he said.

To ensure the security of electronic certificates, a security feature will be applied from Peruri. This certificate uses a "secure paper" with various security features. Rights holders will also receive certificates in PDF format, which can be accessed through the 'Land Touch' application in the Playstore. This electronic certificate is NIK-based and is equipped with a QR code.

"The old certificate remains in effect until the media transfer process is complete. The owner can come to the BPN office to carry out this process," he said.
