Google Launches Google News Showcase In Cyprus To Attract More Readers

JAKARTA - For more than 20 years in collaboration with publishers and journalists, Google launched Google News Showcase, a license program and selected online news experience at Cyprus or Cyprus.

Later, the publisher participating in Cyprus will create a News Showcase panel, which provides more ways for readers to engage with news and direct them to a full article on its official news publication website.

Riccardo Terzi, Head of News Partnership, South Europe said that this panel allows publishers to deepen their relationship with readers and gives them more direct control over presentations and branding.

"Panel News Showcase from our partners in Cyprus has started rolling out on Google News and Discover on Android and iOS," Terzi said further.

Globally, Google has signed a News Showcase deal with more than 2,700 publications, and this product is available in 26 countries, including the United States, France, Spain, Poland, Slovakia, Germany, Ireland, Portugal, England, Italy, Austria, Romania, and Slovenia.

In addition to the launch of News Showcase in Cyprus, Google is also offering journalist training focused on new techniques to combat online misinformation.

"We look forward to continuing our collaboration with news publishers and journalists in Cyprus and around the world, to help them advance digital transformation and connect with more readers," the announcement concluded.
