PwC Will Become The Largest Customer Of Enterprise OpenAI Products

JAKARTA - PwC (PricewaterhouseCoopers) will become the largest customer and first reseller of OpenAI's entertainment product as part of a new deal. This was announced by the accounting giant on Wednesday, May 29. This deal comes as businesses race to adopt and take advantage of generative artificial intelligence.

PwC will launch ChatGPT Enterprise, a version of Microsoft-backed artificial intelligence startup chatbot, aimed at large companies.

The company will provide ChatGPT Enterprise to 75,000 employees in the US and 26,000 employees in the UK, according to a Wall Street Journal report.

"PwC is actively involved in geneAI with more than 95% of consulting client accounts in the UK and US, as well as discussing the use and implications of artificial intelligence with many of our audit clients," PwC said.

However, the company did not disclose the financial details of the deal or details about their plans to resell the artificial intelligence product. OpenaI also did not immediately respond to requests for comment from the media.

PwC said it had developed a custom GPT to help its employees with tasks such as reviewing tax returns and making dashboards and reports.

An agreement with OpenAI was built on a plan previously announced by PwC to invest $1 billion in generative artificial intelligence technology, the company said.

OpenAI has been trying to add subscribers outside Microsoft.

In April that OpenAI CEO Sam Altman invited hundreds of Fortune 500 company executives in San Francisco, New York, and London, where he and other executives introduced artificial intelligence services for the use of corporates, competing directly in several cases with Microsoft.

Wall Street Journal owner News Corp. entered into a content agreement with OpenAI in May earlier.
