The Trial Against Tanzania Becomes An Important Agenda In Shin Tae-yong's Eyes
JAKARTA - The Indonesian national team coach, Shin Tae-yong, said the agenda for the trial against Tanzania was an important match. This moment became a means for the coach to ensure the condition of his team ahead of the 2026 World Cup Qualification.
The Indonesian and Tanzanian national teams will meet in a test match on Sunday, June 2, 2024, at the Madya Stadium, Jakarta. The coach will use the agenda to see the condition of the players declining.
This was said by Shin Tae-yong because it was in accordance with the situation of the players who had just finished competitions abroad and League 1.
"Currently, many players are new from holidays. In European leagues and the Indonesian League it is the same, resting. So performance will definitely decline," said Shin Tae-yong in his statement quoted on Wednesday, May 29, 2024.

"So, it fits my mind and PSSI (about the player's situation) so that in the end it makes the match against Tanzania," said the coach.
Shin Tae-yong's main goal is to make the match against Tanzania a means of monitoring the condition of the players. So, the South Korean coach will not set a high target.
"Outside of winning or losing results, my goal is to check the condition of the players," he said.
Garuda's squad is certain not to come down with the best strength against Tanzania. You see, Jay Idzes and Justin Hubner are certain to miss the match.
STY said Hubner would only join after strengthening Cerezo Osaka on June 2, 2024. Then, Jay Idzes was even certain to miss Iraq in the 2026 World Cup Qualifiers because he would only join on June 5, 2024.
Despite these conditions, the match against Tanzania was a preparation for the Indonesian national team against Iraq and the Philippines in the 2026 World Cup Qualifiers.
Asnawi Mangkualam and his friends need one win in two matches which will be held 6 and 11 June 2024 to qualify for the third round of the 2026 World Cup Qualification.
