2 People Prevented From Going Abroad Regarding Allegations Of Corruption At PT PGN

JAKARTA - The Corruption Eradication Commission (KPK) has asked the Directorate General of Immigration at the Ministry of Law and Human Rights (Kemenkumham) to prevent two people from leaving the country. This request was submitted because it was related to the investigation of alleged corruption at PT Perusahaan Gas Negara (PGN).

"The KPK has submitted a precaution to the Directorate General of Immigration at the Ministry of Law and Human Rights of the Republic of Indonesia," said Head of the KPK News Section Ali Fikri to reporters at the KPK's Merah Putih building, Kuningan Persada, South Jakarta, Tuesday, May 28.

Ali said that two people were prevented from leaving the country, namely state officials and the private sector. It was not specified who but based on the information circulating was the Commercial Director of PT PGN, Danny Praditya and Iswan Ibrahim who were the President Directors of PT Isargas.

"This is the first submission and can extend it again according to the needs of the investigation," he said.

Furthermore, the KPK asked those who were prevented from being cooperative. "Always present to fulfill every scheduled summons for examination from the investigative team," said Ali.

Previously reported, the KPK is investigating criminal charges at PT Perusahaan Gas Negara (PGN). Investigations are currently being carried out.

"Investigation at PGN, yes, that's right. The KPK conducted an investigation regarding the case at the State Gas Company," said KPK Deputy Chair Alexander Marwata at the KPK's Red and White Building, Kuningan Persada, South Jakarta, Monday, May 13.

Alexander said this investigation was carried out after an audit from the Financial Audit Agency (BPK). They have received the results of these efforts.

However, Alexander did not want to specify who the suspects were in this investigation attempt. He just made sure the law enforcement process was still ongoing.
