The Government Will Give Labels For Identification Of Papua Special Autonomy Funds
JAKARTA - The government will provide a special label or information on every activity or development in Papua that is financed using special autonomy funds.
This was stated by a member of the Steering Committee for the Acceleration of Papua Special Autonomy Development (BP3OKP) Irene Manibuy after the BP3OKP plenary meeting chaired by Vice President Ma'ruf Amin at the Vice Presidential Palace, Jakarta, Monday, May 27.
"What is built, sourced from special autonomy funds, will be what it will be, it will get a label. For example, building a school with an special autonomy budget in 2024, there is a state school development label (information) from the 2024 special autonomy budget," he said as quoted by ANTARA.
Irene said all activities using special autonomy funds would have a label so that the Papuan people would know about the use of special autonomy funds from the government for development in Papua.
"Pada 20 tahun lalu itu tidak ada sehingga kami orang Papua bertanya mana dana otsus untuk kami tidak ada. Akan tetapi, sekarang diperlukan diberikan label," kata dia.
The labeling is given, according to Irene, such as the use of special autonomy funds in Aceh and Yogyakarta.
Currently, he continued, the master plan to accelerate the development of Papua has been completed and will immediately be followed up with an action plan to accelerate the development of Papua.
In the plan to accelerate Papua's development, he said, Papua's development programs will be explained from 5 years to 2041.
"From the action plan, it will be seen there in Papua in the future every 5 years until what we want in 2041, what it will be like," he said. In addition, the information system for accelerating Papua's development will also be launched so that Papua's development for 5 years is in accordance with the action plan, as well as can be seen by the whole community.

BP3OKP member from Papua Province Albert Yoku added that in 2023 it is a year of consolidation of regulatory issues that must be the legal basis for the implementation of BP3OKP tasks, including the plan to accelerate the development of Papua's special autonomy in 2021 2041.
Regarding the special autonomy fund, Albert stated that BP3OKP has so far found that local governments have not concretely published the budget used to the public so that the use of Papua's special autonomy funds seems to be still gray.
"The special autonomy funds and the APBD carried out by ministries/agencies in areas in Papua are said to be still gray so that we will provide more coordination supervision so that they are more concrete in the years to come," explained Albert.
