JAKARTA - President Joko Widodo has summoned Attorney General Sanitiar Burhanuddin and National Police Chief General Listyo Sigit Prabowo regarding the issue of stalking by Special Detachment 88 Police personnel against Deputy Attorney General for Special Crimes Febrie Adriansyah.

"I called earlier," said Jokowi when asked by reporters about the stalking issue, after attending the Ansor Youth Movement (GP) event at Istora Senayan, Jakarta, reported by ANTARA, Monday, May 27.

President Jokowi did not comment further on the issue, but asked reporters to ask the National Police Chief, General Sigit, who was standing on the left side of his back when the doorstop took place.

"Ask directly to the National Police Chief," said Jokowi while pointing at Sigit, who only smiled in response to the request.

After the President left the location of the event, reporters tried to ask the National Police Chief for further information, but only received short comments.

"There is no problem with the Attorney General (Burhanuddin)," he said.

When asked by President Jokowi's direction regarding the issue of stalking which was said to have resulted in the relationship between the Police and the AGO being distant, the National Police Chief reiterated that there were no problems between the two law enforcement institutions.

"There is no problem anymore. There really is nothing wrong with it," he said.

The news of the Deputy Attorney General for Special Crimes (Jampidsus), Febrie Adriansyah, was confirmed by a number of members of the National Police's Anti-Terror 88 Special Detachment (Densus 88) at a restaurant in South Jakarta, Friday (24/5) last week, in the public spotlight.

However, to this day, the National Police Chief and the Attorney General have not yet opened their voices to explain the incident.
