Asking For Komnas HAM Assistance, Traumatized Family Remembers Vina's Murder Case
JAKARTA - Vina's family legal team, a resident of Cirebon who became a victim of murder and rape eight years ago visited the National Human Rights Commission (Komnas HAM).
Vina's family asked Komnas HAM to help oversee the handling of cases that were being investigated by the police again.
Vina's family attorney, Putri Maya, said that currently the trauma of the victim's family reappeared after Vina's case went viral and was again handled by the police.
"Trauma, yes, is extraordinary. Still remembering, considering Vina's habits, considering Vina's face, considering the wounds and torture experienced by Vina, of course, the family is always ringing," said Putri at the Komnas HAM office, Central Jakarta, Monday, May 27.
Therefore, Vina's family also asked for trauma healing and restitution services from Komnas HAM.
"After all, we have to provide assistance for the trauma healing," said Putri.

Meanwhile, Komnas HAM Commissioner Anis Hidayah ensured that his party would help Vina's family get trauma healing.
"With this viral case, it has an impact on the psychology of the victim's family. This is also an attention. It is important for families to get a kind of clinical psychologist to be a reference for how traumatized the victim is because of this case," explained Anis.
For information, the police have arrested 9 perpetrators of the murder of Vina and Eki in Cirebon, West Java. Finally arrested was Pegi Setiawan in the Bandung area, West Java, after 8 years of being on the wanted list (DPO).
Currently, Pegi has been named a suspect. Pegi was charged with premeditated murder with a maximum threat of the death penalty.
