BPH Migas Says It Has Reserved 100,000 Pertalite KL For Pertashop
JAKARTA - The Downstream Oil and Gas Regulatory Agency (BPH Migas) attached 100,000 kiloliters (KL) of Pertalite to be sold by Pertashop.
The Pertalite Special Assignment Type of Fuel Quota (JBKP) set for 2024 is 31.7 million KL.
"Of the 31.7 million KL set, 100,000 KL was reserved for the distribution of Pertalite in Pertashop," said Head of BPH Migas Erika Retnowati in a Hearing Meeting with Commission VII DPR RI, Monday, May 27.
Erika said that her party had previously received a visit from the Pertashop employers association and had discussed it with Pertamina as a subsidized fuel distribution business entity. Meanwhile, BPH Migas also collaborated with Gadjah Mada University (UGM) regarding the possibility of Pertashop distributing Pertalite.
Erika said the struggle study was carried out considering that at the beginning of its formation, Pertashop was not a distributor of subsidized fuel.
"Then we found a way with Pertamina and UGM how to do it and finally found the formula, they changed it to a compact gas station, with various requirements, permits and so on," explained Erika.
Erika further explained that her party had tested the distribution of Pertalite in Pertashop and set several Pertashops that met the requirements, one of which was in an area far from the gas station so that Pertalite distribution could run smoothly.

"Only a few have actually fulfilled the permit, then we also focus on areas where there is no gas station. So it also makes it easier for local people to get subsidized fuel," he said.
This was then appreciated by Member of Commission VII DPR RI Mulyanto. According to Mulyanto, this was appropriate to be implemented considering that some time ago Commission VII had received complaints from associations who complained about losses due to lack of interest.
"They (entrepreneurs) insist on asking to be allowed to sell Pertalite and BPH Migas have discussed it, so it's okay in the outermost area!" said Mulyanto.
