Consultant And PPK Project Become Suspects In The Corruption Case Of The NTB Bima Transportation Agency
MATARAM - Investigators from the Bima District Attorney's Office (Kejari), West Nusa Tenggara, named two suspects in the 2019 wooden ship procurement case, which is a project of the Bima Regency Transportation Service (Dishub).Head of the Bima Kejari, Ahmad Hajar Zunaidi, said that the two suspects in this case had the initials MS and SA. "The suspect MS is the PPK (commitment-making official) project, for SA, a planning consultant," Ahmad said when contacted from Mataram, Antara, Monday, May 27.Investigators named both of them as suspects by applying Article 2 paragraph (1) and/or Article 3 of Law Number 31 of 1999 concerning Eradication of Criminal Acts of Corruption as amended by Law no. 20 of 2001 in conjunction with Article 55 paragraph (1) of the 1st Criminal Code.Investigators have made arrests by entrusting the two suspects at the Raba Bima Detention Center. Ahmad said investigators were currently trying to complete the files of the two suspects. Delegation of files to the research prosecutor is waiting for the results of the audit of state financial losses.Head of the Special Crimes Section of the Bima Kejari, Catur Hidayat, added that in handling this case, his party had pocketed a potential state financial loss of around Rp900 million.To confirm the existence of evidence of losses, investigators cooperated with the NTB Inspectorate. Catur ensured that the results of the audit from the inspectorate would be complete file material."So, the audit is still ongoing, we are still waiting for the exact results from the inspectorate," said Catur.
The Bima Regency Transportation Service was revealed to have realized this project using special allocation funds (DAK). Funds are allocated for the procurement of two wooden ships. Appearing as winners of the CV Berkah Brothers auction based in Bima Regency with a contract value of Rp989 million.
